Senate: Naomi Gross, Arjun Kalra, Sarah Matthews, and Harry Lowitz
“Passion, experience, capability, and caring,” Sarah Mathews said, describing what she thinks her group has to bring. Naomi Gross, Arjun Kalra, Sarah Matthews, and Harry Lowitz believe that their Senate group
is the best option for Parker’s student body. They not only have selfie and PhotoShop skills (as seen in their Instagram), but also have student government experience.
“We are true leaders ready to bring real change to Parker’s Student Government,” Gross said.
“Senate is an excellent place to break down boundaries and bring honest change,” Mathews said. The Senate group believes that they can turn Senate into an effective and safe space. “It’s our duty as Senate Heads to make change, to allow for conversations to have their full run so that people don’t feel cut off,” Gross said.
“We really expect Senate to be a forum for discussion on anything the student body deems necessary,” Lowitz said. In their platform, they expressed their interest in talking about taboo topics such as gender, race, sex, and identity. They believe that with a safe enough environment, the student body can engage in important conversations.
“We want to devote ourselves to exploring those taboo topics and make sure that Senate doesn’t become independent of the very prominent societal problems,” Lowitz said.
“We’re all going to be dedicated to Senate because we all care so much,” Lowitz said. The four of them combined have
been committee heads, Model UN captains, Senate Representatives, and Cabinet members. They believe that they have the right skill set to be the best Senate group in Parker’s history.
“We are four leaders who care so much about Parker’s student government and we will just bring an incredible amount of passion and work into Senate,” Gross said.
