Dear reader,
We are so excited to welcome you to our eleventh and final issue of the year! While it’s almost impossible to say goodbye, we have immense trust in Uma, Sejal, and Annabel’s ability to lead “The Weekly” with excellence. We couldn’t be more excited to see all they do.
There are too many thank yous to give. Too little space in this tiny box, and too few words in the English language to express how we really feel. Excuse us as we get a little teary-eyed.
To Ms. Tabor and Mr. Rampson, thank you for all your last minute edits, pep talks, and constant trust. Thank you for bearing with us. You’ve been our lifeline, and we are profoundly grateful for everything you do.
To our beloved Editorial Board, thank you for making Thursday our favorite day of the week. There’s no telling where we’d be without your meticulous work, Pulitzer Prize worthy edits, and gossip sessions in the Pub office. We couldn’t have done it without you.
To our extraordinary staff, thank you for taking on the impossible task of capturing Parker history. Your dedication, your energy, and your hard work mean the world to us. Stay brave. Stay courageous. There’s no doubt that we’ll stalk all your writing from our college dorms.
To everyone reading these words right now, we wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you for trusting us with your time, for laughing and learning with us, and for deeming “The Weekly” worthy of your patience, stories, and genuine excitement. Delivering this publication to you has made everything worth it.
This summer, we encourage you to keep reading. Write because you love to. Even email your fabulous new Editors-in-Chief any ideas for next year’s publication. All we ask is that you look the other way when we attempt to crash next year’s ED board meetings…Never hesitate to reach out if you need us.
WLYSMYDEK,
Hanna, Benjamin, and Harry
