Dear Reader,
The pencils have been sharpened, the chairs set in place, and just like that it is the first day of school again! Whether it is your last first day or your first one, we are so glad you are spending some time with us at “The Parker Weekly”! Though summer is normally a time of rest, we’ve been working day and night to create this phenomenal first issue you are reading. Look out for Owen Zeller’s fantastic article on the Pitchfork music festival, Anaïs Morris’s article on the Lower School pets, and our editorial on Parker’s extracurricular leadership culture! This year marks the one hundred and fifteenth year of continuous publication of “The Parker Weekly,” and we hope to continue the legacy of honest, informative, and powerful student journalism. We could not be more excited to officially begin our run as your Editors-in-Chiefs and we hope you have a great start to the school year!
With love,
JLG
