A Letter to the Upper School Community

Dear Parker Upper School,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! I am excited to experience what makes Parker the progressive and supportive learning community I witnessed last spring. Pre-season sports have brought great energy to campus. I invite you to stop by and see the reimagined Upper School office. Take a moment out of your day to say hello to Mrs. Shepard and me and perhaps even grab a snack.

I am eager to have conversations with all of you to learn how our division can support the campus as a whole and continue to serve as role models for all students. I look forward to seeing all of you in the hallways, classrooms, and on the field. In closing, I wanted to share one of my favorite quotes for the beginning of the school year. I hope this quote will guide us in discussions regarding the current state of the world around us and how we can affect change here at Parker and beyond.

“Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education.” – Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Sincerely,

Mr. Brandon
