In Nothing Without You, The Weekend credits his lover for making him who he is today. “’Cause I’d be nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing without you”, he says in this song that gives thanks to his partner.
4) Dear Mama – 2Pac
Dear Mama is dedicated to Tupac’s mom. He recognizes that even though they didn’t have the best relationship, he owed his life to her and would be nothing without her. It was the third hip-hop act ever (after Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five’s “The Message” and Public Enemy’s album, Fear of a Black Planet) to be placed in the Library of Congress.
