Sydney Hirano is an enthusiastic writer and a freshman at Parker. With interests in cultural events, she enjoys writing about the many institutions in Chicago, taking the role as “The Weekly’s” Culture Critic. Sydney enjoys creative writing, especially poetry, expressing her thoughts with symbolic words and thoughtful language. She takes her inspiration from the city around her, and she hopes to use her articles for “The Weekly” to spotlight both the well-known and hidden gems of Chicago. When she’s not writing, she enjoys her time practicing violin for her orchestra, traveling, spending time with her friends, reading and playing volleyball.
