During a March Morning Exercise, the community was informed that the Susan F. Berkowitz Award for Outstanding Service to Children had gone to Leonardo DiCaprio.

This announcement comes just a few weeks after DiCaprio took home his first Oscar for his starring role in “The Revenant.”

Fans of DiCaprio were so concerned he would not win an Oscar that they contacted Assistant Principal Ruth Jurgensen to ensure he would win the Berkowitz award, sources told “The Weekly” staff. This award was a backup so DiCaprio would win at least one award, and now he is living the best of both worlds, having won both. “The Oscar means nothing to me after winning this,” DiCaprio said. “This is something I’ll remember forever. I’ve now won everything I’ve ever dreamed of. Thank you, Parker.”

Some of you might be confused because the Berkowitz award is an award for service to children. Moreover, the argument continues, DiCaprio does not have any children of his own.

To combat that argument, Leo has been spotted in public numerous times taking care of fellow WolfPack member Tobey Maguire’s daughter, Ruby. Furthermore, Maguire has been quoted talking about DiCaprio as a father-figure for Ruby. “Leo would make a great dad,” Maguire said. “He is so gentle with Rub, and he knows just what to do.” DiCaprio is Ruby’s godfather, and the actor regularly looks after the five–year–old.

Though the actor is not an organization, as the award description states it must be given to, DiCaprio sees himself as a businessman. Or, rather, a business. “I’m not a businessman,” he said. “I’m a business, man.”

“We decided to bend the rules a bit this year,” Jurgenson said. “It’s not every day you have the opportunity to give Leonardo DiCaprio an award.”

DiCaprio has stated he will most likely use the $10,000 grant to help fund his next yacht trip, and he will surprise his friends by actually inviting them to party with the models as well.
