Senior Dal Harrell has officially committed to continue her track and field career at The George Washington University, taking the next step as a Division I athlete. Harrell has said that she first began running at eight years old and has stayed committed to pursuing track ever since.
From her early years, Harrell has admired college track athletes and knew that competing at the division 1 level was something she wanted for herself. Harrell has shared that while the dream started when she was young, her passion grew strongest during high school where she pushed herself to grow and improve each season. Her official signing day took place on April 22nd, however Harrell said that she verbally committed to The George Washington University a week prior.
Throughout Harrell’s journey, she talked about the importance of the support system around her, thanking the Parker community, teammates, and coaches for helping her succeed. In addition to Parker’s team, Harrell has competed in club track during the summer and winter, training almost year round with only a few weeks of rest. Through club experience, Harrell has earned 3 All-American titles and is aiming to get more this July in California. As she gets ready to take on the next level, Harrell’s commitment shows not only her talent but her dedication and love for track and field.
